• Tasting notes: A crisp, refreshing, flinty, full-bodied dry white with a lovely mouthfeel. Citrus and sweet grapefruit on the nose continue on the palate where you also get the typical Sauv Blanc hints of gooseberry too - unoaked.
• Food Pairing: Easy drinking and pairs well with white or oily fish, shellfish, mild cheeses or asian style cuisine.

The Estate has been run by the Bruwer family for generations. The current brother-sister winemaking team are descendants of the Brueres, Frenchmen who came to South Africa from the Loire Valley armed only with vines in the 1600s. Today the Springfield approach involves sustainable viticulture, wild yeasts, long fermentations and a stubborn (but justified) belief that the rocky, unforgiving soils of Robertson are perfect for producing outstanding wine. Miss Lucy is one of the seven nicknames given to the Red Stumpnose by the fisherman of the Southern Cape. Like many other marine species, the Miss Lucy has been over-exploited and is now critically endangered. Created as an ode to the bounty of the sea, Miss Lucy can turn the many other delights safe to grace our tables, into a celebration of the ocean. Only a salty breeze and a sunny day can improve what is already a perfect match. This unique blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Pinot Gris bursts with citrus, pamplemousse and tropical flavours with an ample mouth feel to boot!
