Quite simply, because we buy directly from select wholesalers that cut out UK distributors and middle-men. In fact, a large percentage of our stock is sourced from businesses that change hands, get bought out, go into administration, (eg. Jamie Oliver's restaurant chain) or simply need to shift stock for a variety of different reasons. This means we pay less for top quality wine and pass the savings onto you, that is why you see such super savings across the range.

This also results in a fabulous variety found here, hard to find elsewhere and niche. Our penchant for so many different wines, brands, grape varieties and styles are rarely seen in supermarkets or chain wine stores. It is this diverse and ever changing range, coupled with a stock of regular wines, that has been of appeal to lots of loyal customers. We try and stock up on the best wine we find but ultimately most of the labels we stock are finite, sell out and don't get offered to us again, so if you haven't already, please feel free to join us on a journey of 'wine-discovery' enjoyment!

A bit more about us...

We are an independent, online only wine retailer based in Loughborough, Leicestershire. The company name is derived from the past practice of traditional wine merchants who stored their imported wines in bins. When a wine was down to the last few dozen bottles, it was often sold off at a discount as a “bin end”. The name therefore reflects the philosophy of selling wines at discount prices.

Bin End Wines was born out of the not so original idea that if one buys in quantity, in this instance a case of wine, then it should be better value. With many years experience in the wine and drinks trade, the original founders of the website saw an opportunity and launched BinEndWines.co.uk back in 2008.
