Terms and Conditions
Firstly it goes without saying that you must be over 18 to purchase wine from our website, then thereafter...
1. Minimum order is £25 (excluding delivery) worth of mixed (or not) bottles to your choice
See below for more info on deliveries but the delivery charge of £7.99 is for up to 6 bottles and £9.99 from 7 to 12 bottles.
All prices are inclusive of duty and taxes and we don’t supply wholesale or other retailers unless the wine is to be gifted or personally consumed.
All wines on this web site are offered subject to availability – see below for substitutions policy.
Vintages may occasionally differ from those shown in the description and photo.
2. Deliveries
All charges are per case (up to 12 bottles)
Anything over 12 bottles charged at the price for 2 cases
FREE – Local Delivery - All orders in an LE12 or LE11 postcode will be delivered by us personally, usually within 3 days but if urgent I may be able to deliver within hours!
The P&P charge is £7.99 for up to 6 bottles then £9.99 1 case of 7 - 12 bottles. For each additional case above this, the charge is just £6 a case. So, for an order of 13-24 bottles the charge would be £15.99.
£19.99 – Highlands & Islands. The following postcodes will be charged at this rate;
The Highlands and Islands of Scotland – postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17- 26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE, AB31, AB33-38, AB45, AB52-56, FK17-21.
Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly – postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25.
International Please get in touch and we will see what we can do. Please note that we classify the Channel Islands as an international destination and will be charged accordingly.
For deliveries above 5 cases we may be able to offer a cheaper rate if we can deliver by our own transport, even though it may be out of our local delivery area. Contact us beforehand to discuss.
Delivery should be made within 7 days of receipt of your order, with the majority made within 72 hours. Carrier deliveries will not be left unless a signature is obtained. However, should the customer specifically request that wines be left on the property, in either a secure or insecure place, due to there being no one to sign for them, then the risk for such wines remains with the customer. Neither BinEndWines nor the carriers will be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred thereof. Note that wines cannot be signed for by anyone either under, or appearing to be under, the age of 18. If the delivery cannot be completed, a card will be left with a contact number, so that another delivery or customer collection can be arranged. If a second, agreed delivery is not effected, a re-delivery charge may be applied to complete the delivery. Deliveries are made on weekdays only, excepting own van deliveries, which can be made at the weekend to suit. Bank holidays are also excluded.
3. Consumer Protection under The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, including your right to cancel.
Note that you have a right to cancel your total order within 14 working days of its receipt. We will refund the invoiced amount, including any delivery charge within 30 days, but the costs of returning the goods remain with the customer. If you wish to exercise this right, you must contact us in writing or by email.
4. Quality guarantee.
All our wines are fully guaranteed. However, with wine being an organic product, sometimes you may come across an off wine. We will gladly refund when any wine does not meet the expected standard, on the return of the bottle(s) in question. Where a wine is not to your personal taste, we will gladly offer an alternative. Note that it the customer's responsibility to return the faulty wines to BinEndWines and pay to do so themselves, see "Returns" bullet point number 10 below. However, please note that many of our wines are of older vintages, offering fantastic bargains, but having already had bottle ageing, and requiring drinking within a limited timescale. This will usually be advised in the product description. We do reserve the right not to offer a refund for wines which have been kept beyond their expected cellar life.

5. Substitutions.
With the number of “one off” wines we list, there will always be a time when wines sell out. The automatic stock level will indicate when a wine is not available in the quantities ordered and advise you in your shopping basket. When your offer to purchase is accepted a sales contract exists where we are under a legal duty to supply you with the goods as ordered. However, where on the odd occasion the physical stock does not match the website stock level and we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you to arrange and agree a suitable replacement at the same, or better, price. We will not substitute without your agreement.
6. Licensing Laws.
You must be over the age of 18 to place any order on this website. Additionally we also cannot leave deliveries to the address you designate if the person accepting the delivery is, or appears to be, under the age of 18.
We are not registered either for VAT nor under the AWRS registration scheme. We are legally not allowed to sell wines to third parties for onward resale - hotels, restaurants, retailers etc.
7. Payments.
We are using the secure "PayPal" and Stripe payment systems which allow you to pay by credit card, debit card, or by a PayPal transfer.
For local free deliveries made by our own transport we can only accept payment on delivery, either a cheque or internet payment via BACS. This is due to the high costs in processing credit card payments.
8. Breakages.
Please inform us and the carriers of any breakages or shortages at the time of delivery. Claims for these are required by post or email within 3 working days of delivery/attempted delivery.
9. Privacy.
We have the utmost respect for your privacy and all information that you supply is strictly confidential. Please see our privacy statement for more information.
10. Returns.
Any wine a customer wishes to return to claim a refund will have to be done so at the cost to the customer, this includes any packaging and shipping charges. Refunds will not be actioned until the wine in question has been safely returned to us.
