Description

  • Vintage: NV
  • Origin: Western Cape, South Africa
  • Taste guide: Medium bodied, dry and lightly oaked. Friendly and approachable with bramble fruit and plum nuances. Hints of spice with soft rounded tannins on the finish. 14% abv but doesn't taste as heavy as that so be careful!
  • 75cl - screwcap closure - 14%
  • Food Pairings: Try with BBQ food or a roast dinner as it isn't too heavy.

Taking its name from the antelopes with the corkscrew curling horns that roam the African savannah, Kudu Plains is a South African winery recognised for producing both red and white wines. Based in Paarl on the Western cape, they are particularly famed for this juicy Pinotage but also make a refreshingly fruity Chenin Blanc and Colombard blend.

Surprised how nice it was for the price, it’s not overly complex or pretentious, just a cheerful, easy drinking red!
