  • Vintage: NV
  • Origin: Western Cape, South Africa
  • Taste guide: Medium bodied, dry and lightly oaked. Friendly and approachable with bramble fruit and plums. Hints of spice with soft rounded tannins on the finish. 14% abv but doesn't taste as heavy as that so be careful!
  • 75cl - screwcap closure - 14%
  • Food Pairings: Try with BBQ food or a roast dinner as it isn't too heavy.

Taking its name from the antelopes with the corkscrew curling horns that roam the African savannah, Kudu Plains is a South African winery recognised for producing both red and white wines. Based in Paarl on the Western cape, they are particularly famed for this juicy Pinotage but also make a refreshingly fruity Chenin Blanc and Colombard blend.

Surprised how nice it was for the price, it’s not overly complex or pretentious, just a cheerful, easy drinking red which will be perfect in the sunshine too. Get some ready to enjoy with friends when the BBQ comes out as it will suit that type of food along with the warmer weather too! £7 elsewhere, just £5.65 here - why not give it a try!?
