In the foothills of the mighty Mont Ventoux (famed for being one of the most ferocious climbs in the Tour de France) this ultra forward-looking producer has five distinct soil types at its disposal: marl, calcareous and ancient limestone, sandy loam and pebbly alluvium. Having so many different soil types to work with, TerraVentoux team puts these diverse vineyards to great use with a well-executed and very smartly presented range of wines that are packed with Provencal sunshine. The Terres de Truffes is the star of the show, especially when served alongside some of the local black truffles. In 2017, TerraVentoux converts 25% of its vinyards to Biodynamics and obtains the "Demeter" label. This makes TerraVentoux the first cooperative winery in France to produce biodynamically.
