The people behind this project are all wine lovers who decided to make a dream come true by making honest, iconic wines together.
They decided to name the inaugural release “Alpasión,” a combination of the Spanish “alma” (soul) and “pasión” (passion). The Alpasión label features the fingerprints and signatures of all of the winery’s owners as testimony to friendship for life.
The estate consists of 85 hectares of land, 60 of which are organic vineyards. Alpasión practices sustainable organic farming to ensure the health of soils, ecosystems and people. Part of the vineyard is planted in the shape of a giant fingerprint.
This flagship red blend actualy changes every year depending on the best grapes available! It is a powerful, full-bodied wine, with complex aromas and great aging potential.
An absolute cracker here, difficult to find in the UK but newer vintages seem to retail at circa £28 making the 2014, which actually scores better than the ‘18 on Vinino, more like a £40 bottle, hence our RRP.
