Whiz Bang Barossa Valley Shiraz

• Taste guide: Full bodied and oaked; deep red in colour with purple hues. Ripe raspberries and plum aromas are dominant on the nose with a hint of star anise and white pepper. A rich plum and ripe red berry palate follows with cinnamon and beautifully integrated oak, finishing long and soft.
• Food Pairing: This wine would suit hard, mature and strong cheeses or a rich beef dish.

Angove Family Winemakers is a fifth generation South Australian family winery with a passion for crafting iconic and single vineyard wines from McLaren Vale as well as a selection of premium wines from some of South Australia's great wine growing regions.

Harvesting takes place at night to make sure that the grapes were as cool as possible. After crushing they were allowed to macerate for 2 days before inoculation and fermentation. Pressed off skins and allowed to go through the second malolactic fermentation, the wine spent 9 months on oak and had minimal handling prior to filtration for bottling.
