Trivento Reserve, White Malbec 2022

• Origin: Mendoza, Argentina
• Taste Guide: A fresh white wine with aromas of cherry and raspberry, (yes a white with a red berry nose!) that marry with prominent palate notes of tree fruit and hints of lemon for a refreshingly crisp finish. Light-medium bodied, off dry and unoaked.

• Food match: Slightly spicy dishes made with poultry or seafood. A lighter bodied wine with fruit forward flavours helps to not overpower the vibrant flavours within a slightly spicier dish but this also drinks very well on its own.

The idea for the white Malbec came during the ‘hackathon’ project in 2018, which aimed to find an attractive and fruity blanc du noir wine (a white wine made from a red variety) whose profits could be used to benefit a scholarship programme the company supports in Mendoza with the FonBec Foundation.

Around 420 winery collaborators came together to generate ideas under the leadership of the winemaking team and project leader Maximiliano Ortiz.
