“This is a blend we've really come to love out of the Western Cape, fusing the blackcurrant and white pepper spice of Shiraz with that unmistakable damson and plum fruitiness of Malbec. We settled on a 70/30 split whilst blending with winemaker Nadia Engelbrecht, out in the super trendy Perdeberg region, where the mountain of the same name forms a stunning backdrop. The combination of flavours works wonderfully, and the spicy tannins of the Shiraz allow the additional weight of the Malbec to perfectly sit side by side”. Virgin Wines Website

"I've been playing around and blending Shiraz with Malbec for a few vintages now and it has fast become one of my favourites. A lovely style of wine that is juicy and rounded with lashings of dark berry fruit and a light dusting of vanilla spice." - Nadia Engelbrecht, Winemaker.
