• Taste guide: A fresh medium bodied wine with juicy black and red cherry as well strawberry and plums. Plum, blackberry (dark fruit) with soft smooth tannins and just the right amount of vanilla spice on the palate.

The metaphor of Silk & Spice applies to the flavours of this smooth red blend that possesses flavours only found in grapes native to Portugal. Portuguese explorers discovered the silk and spice routes to the east in the 1500's: spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper changing world cuisine, while silk from China was prized for its luxurious softness.
