Ehrmanns has long-standing relationships with key Argentine producers who are experts in all things Malbec. Each year, the Ehrmanns buying team carefully source and blend this Malbec from selected vineyards. This quality-focused approach to sourcing allows for the best quality and expression of Malbec to be parcel-bought each year. Hand-picked grapes are quickly processed; de-stemmed and passed through a must chiller to bring the temp down to 15°C. They then pass into the fermentation tank and selected yeasts are added and fermented at 25°C. Traditional pump overs occur 3 to 4 times a day.
This well balanced Malbec certainly offers a lot of flavour for the money. It's grown in the high altitude vineyards of Mendoza where intense sunshine for most of the year and cool night time temperatures produce grapes that create wines with a perfect balance between flavour and texture. A vibrant and juicy Malbec made from grapes grown at high altitude in Mendoza.
