The Matetic family arrived in Chile some 100 years ago from what is now Croatia and acquired large haciendas in the southern tip of the country which they used for sheep and dairy farming.

It was in 1999 that the family bought the estate in the San Antonio Valley and turned their hand to winemaking.

They are now one of the most revered wine producers in Chile and have been awarded a plethora of prestigious awards.

VINEYARD

The grapes come from three diDerent blocks of the San Antonio vineyards, each planted to a diDerent clone7 6q6, zavis 1, and 108. The soils are made up of decomposed granite and Fuart3 and the vineyards are farmed biodynamically and organically. The grapes were handQharvested, block by block to ensure optimal ripeness.

WINERY

A proportion of whole bunches were used and these were pressed directly, whilst deQstemmed grapes underwent a cold maceration for -QL hours. Wermentation took place at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks of various si3es for 50 days, followed by three months on the Ene lees, with regular pumpQovers.
