Founded in 1996 when the Gabb family, originally from Shropshire in the UK, took over the estate, Journey’s End is situated right in the heart of Stellenbosch - and, with one of the Cape's most exciting terroirs, has quickly become one of the region's top wineries. This renowned 'Schaapenberg Terroir' with its sea facing slopes has started to draw comparison with some of Bordeaux’s best with some exceptional wines emerging from the area.

The vineyard has always been wholly committed to being environmentally sustainable and socially responsible. As well as being WEITA and IPW accredited, Journey’s End converted to solar power in 2014 and the farm became fully Fairtrade certified from April 2017.

A well rounded red with plenty of quality for the money and not overly complex - we enjoyed this, lovely almost zippy berry and plum flavours with just the right amount of spice, maybe a hint of mocha or vanilla in there too, we will let you make your own mind up!

Pairs well with plenty of plates! Chicken, lamb and red meat dishes, tomato based pasta, pizza and cheese platters too.

Retails for up to £10 online and much more in the resturant trade this was imported for, but we can off it to you at £7.29 a bottle
