Sauvignon Blanc from Chile is subtly different to this varietal from other countries, primarily because of the disease Phylloxera. This destroyed most of the old world's vines, but never reached South America. Because of this the Sauvignon Blanc grapes in Chile are grown on ungrafted vines and impart marginally different flavours.

This wine was produced by Viña Luis Felipe Edwards, but incognito under this Condorito label. They are actually one of Chile's leading family-owned wineries, dedicated to producing wines of the highest quality. This Sauvignon Blanc has been expertly blended by Luis Felipe Edwards' award-winning winemakers, using premium grapes from top vineyards in Chile's idyllic Valle Central.

This really is a very classy Chilean Sauvignon Blanc - soft and fruity with that typical Sauvignon crispness.

Sells for around £8 elsewhere and circa £20 in Pubs/Restaurants - here at BinEndWines, just £5.99 a bottle!
