Renowned wine stable, Château des Ferrages is located in Pourcieux, halfway between Aix-en-Provence and Saint-Maximin, in the prime plots of the Sainte-Victoire appellation. The coolness of the weather is one of its blessings. Whilst Rosé wine was already being made at this 8ha Domaine, hillside plots were quickly identified to produce red wine, and others for white.
This Rosé is a delightful pale pink in colour and the nose reveals red fruit with notes of white flowers, strawberry, peach, grapefruit and hawthorn. On the palate it's fresh, with a smooth and ethereal structure and a deliciously fruity strawberry flavour on the finish.
This dry wine can accompany all your summer meals; cold cuts, mixed salads, melon, Asian cuisine, grilled meats but also your pizza & pasta evenings!
Not found in many places in the UK but noted on one website at £16.99
Binendwines' price is superb value for money at £8.95 and a great opportunity to try a quality Côtes du Provence Rose.
We had a bottle of this recently and it is still drinking very well.
