Named for Wolf Blass's original winery site and selected from premium Australian vineyards, the Bilyara range has been crafted with the skill and care of their winemakers to be enjoyed with food, Bilyara wines were available exclusively through the Wolf Blass Wine Club and on-premise retailers, including restaurants and function venues, so not a label seen in retail.

South Eastern Australia is the regional name used by wine makers to identify wines produced from fruit grown in the Riverina area which is at the meeting of three states around the Murray/Darling river valleys. This wine was produced from select fruit harvested from top vineyards across this region. Each parcel was separately vinified in the Wolf Blass winery and masterfully blended to produce a final wine which was then aged in oak barrels to marry and add complexity.

Bilyara Shiraz has a lovely fruit and spice aroma on the nose of blackcurrants and dark cherries that follows through on the palate. There are ripe plum flavours and hints of subtle oak. The wine is full and quite powerful with excellent length on the finish.

This is a serious Shiraz with wonderful flavour and length which is best appreciated with food. Bilyara Shiraz is a great match with steak and all red meat dishes.

As advised, this is a wine club and restaurant wine so no retail price is evident, but its menu price in restaurants would indicate a retail of around £10.
