D’Alamel wine production is overseen by Charles de Bournet, a member of the seventh generation of the Marnier Lapostolle family, and the renowned French winemaker Jacques Begarie.

This wine was produced from grapes grown in Chile's famous Central Valley. Labelled Sauvignon Blanc but benefits from having Sémillon and Sauvignon Gris added. Each varietal was separately hand harvested then vinified in stainless steel vats at low temperatures. The individual wines were then carefully blended in the proportions of Sauvignon Blanc 86%; Sémillon 7%; Sauvignon Gris 7%.

The final wine is bright yellow in colour and offers floral aromas of with hints of white peach. The palate shows flavours of grapefruit, tangerine, peach and mango. There is good citric acidity, and the finish is long and satisfying.

This is not a typical Chilean Sauvignon Blanc; it has more of the taste of a Bordeaux white.

Ideal on its own or great with fish or white meats.

This is primarily a restaurant wine, where its price would indicate a retail of around £10 - at Binendwines less than half price at just £4.50 to clear the last few bottles.
