Produced from select grapes grown in some of the best vineyards in the sun-drenched Western Cape of South Africa. Fish Hoek focuses on stunning single grape varieties and pare back their winemaking until it's artful in its simplicity. Quality and distinctive characters are paramount, and this Merlot is a superb example of their winemaking.
A nose of stone fruit aromas leads to a palate with bramble notes and a slight smokiness. Plum and damson fruit flavours dominate this very smooth and succulent wine. Softened tannins give a good backbone, and the finish is long and lingering.
