Founded in 2011, Viñedos Y Frutales are based in the Central Valley which is Chile’s most productive and internationally known wine region. Located directly across the Andes from Argentina, a wide variety of wine styles and quality can be found in this large area with many different terroirs.
Viñedos Y Frutales is one of the leading family-owned companies with a proud heritage based on producing high quality wines at competitive prices - which they have certainly done with this one!
After fermentation, this wine was aged over its lees for four months giving lovely balance and body. Battonage was also used to gently move it so as to maximize the contribution of the wine coming into contact with the fine sediment.
Not as dry as your typical Chardonnay it's expressive, fresh and mineral, in which citrus and tropical fruit aromas such as apple, apricot, pineapple and pear intermingle with gentle nutty notes.
Great score on Vivino.com of 3.7 (for this vintage and 3.6 average too) will be hard to beat at less than £6 a bottle!
