Yet another reliable Esporão Estate wine for us here. Established in 1267 the vineyard is one of the largest domains in the Alentejo region, lead by winemaker David Baverstock. The exceptional climatic conditions; good light, hot sun, humid Atlantic breezes from the Northwest, and the unique xistous and vulcanic soils, constitute the origins for the outstanding wines of Esporão.
Unbeatable for its reliability and consistently high quality. Herdade do Esporão is Portugal's largest privately-owned wine company, and proof that big can be beautiful.
This wine has delicate fresh stone fruits and lemon notes on the nose with a firm, intense, well-balanced fesh and fruity palate. A beautifully long, aromatic finish.
Good with seafood, grilled fresh fish, white meats and as an aperitif. Superb score on Vivino of 3.8/5
