This elegant wine is obtained from the first Viognier plantation in Romania: Domeniei Halewood and produced by renowned winemakers, The Iconic Estate

Here, the Scurta Vineyards, documented since the 16th century, are an area located on the sunny slopes of the Dealu Mare Vineyard, at an altitude of approximately 150 meters, where the Sarmatic Sea was located many millions of years ago. The presence of sediment limestone from the "Mother Rock" gives the wines produced here a special finesse and a strong "terroir" character.

Estate bottled, this Rhea Viognier is produced in a limited edition (6600 individually numbered bottles) and is the winner of several medals seen here: The Iconic Estate

Before bottling, just 10% of the wine in matured for 2 months in new French barriques.

Bright straw yellow in colour, this wine suggests elegant notes of bois vanilla and snowdrops. Aromas of exotic fruits, fresh pineapple juice and clementine, wild flowers and apricot kernels are promptly recognised. The structure is well defined, the body is lacy and the taste is silky and abundantly fresh. HOWEVER please let this wine breathe a little before drinking to allow the flavours to open and develop. This was the first White Wine we have ever decanted and it was well worth it!

Ideal match for seafood and fish, chicken, and creamy pasta dishes.
