The popularity of Prosecco in recent years has led to a flood of products/labels into the market, often price driven, with the vast majority being of very poor quality - full of fizz, but tasting of nothing.

For generations, Rocco Venezia has cultivated and harvested the best Prosecco grapes in the DOCG region Conegliano–Valdobbiadene, just 40km north of Venice, and the top very best area for Prosecco.

This region has a unique microclimate, protected from the Alps to the North and open to the Adriatic to the South. Here Rocco Venezia cultivates its precious grapes and produces its wines on the same location. Importantly all the processes are connected seamlessly from grape to glass.

Grapes from select vineyards in the hills of Conegliano were harvested then fermented in Rocco's own winery to produce a still wine. This then undertook secondary fermentation using the Charmat (autoclave) method of vinification with the bottled wine then aged for several more months in the cellars.

The result is a soft, delicate and outstandingly fine ‘bubbly’. The wine has a warm yellow colour, and the bouquet is remarkably fine and intense, delicate with distinctive notes of blossom on the nose. The effervescence is abundant, intense, and persistent with fine and delicate bubbles. The palate is clear and crisp, and delightfully elegant with a moderate fullness.

Rocco Venezia respects the pure and natural beauty of the best grapes from the finest domains; exquisite nature and climate cultivating fine and luxurious velvety smooth wines. ‘A remarkable collection’; Harpers 2009.

Excellent as an aperitif or to accompany pastries or fruit desserts. Best served cool between 6-8°

The quality of this Prosecco cannot be over emphasised. So much so that respected wine writer William Lyons wrote:

"Rocco Venezia .. the closest flavour to Champagne. The nose is still distinctively dry, it leaves you wanting a second glass."

Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli remarked, "The best Italian bubbles in London.”

Sells at other wine sellers for prices between £14.99 to £17.99 - it is that good.
