Origin: McGuigan Wines, South Eastern Australia
Taste guide: Dry, crisp and fresh, tropical and citrus fruit, unoaked
75cl - 12.5% - screwcap
We have decided to offer again this vibrant Pinot Grigio which was a recent introduction into the best selling McGuigan Black Label range.
Yet again Australian winemakers have taken a classic European varietal and given it their own particular twist.
Made from grapes grown on McGuigan's estates in the Riverland region which lies across the junction of three states in The Murray Valley. The colour is bright pale lemon - twist the cap and pour, and the spicy, fruity nose hits you.
This refreshingly crisp wine shows tropical fruit flavours - melon, pineapple and peach - with a clean citrus finish. It is suited to a range of dishes, especially seafood, fish, and white meats. With much more depth of flavour than the majority of Italian examples.
Black Label wines are only available in the Independent trade, though this particular varietal is a rarity.
Binendwines' price is just £5.95 to clear the last few bottles.
