75cl - 14% - natural cork closure
A barrel-aged wine for opitimum finesse, this Pinot Noir is part of the Reserva Especial range from Cono Sur.
Produced from Pinot Noir grapes grown on estate vineyards in San Antonio (85%) and Casablanca (15%) where the coastal cool climate is ideal for optimum fruit.
The grapes were hand picked and vinified in Viña Cono Sur's winery in Santa Elisa. The fruit from each vineyard was separately fermented and then carefully blended,. The wine was then separately aged for 11 months with 80% in oak barrels and 20% in stainless steel. Finally these cuvées were blended to produce the finished wine. which was then bottled.
Bright ruby red in colour, it displays intense aromas of red fruits - sour cherries, raspberries and blackberries. On the palate it has a medium concentartion and is round, smooth, balanced and very persistent. Cherry, raspberry and forest berries, offset by hints of coffee and cacao.
This wine offers the taste of Burgundy without the cost.
Perfect for pairing with red meats, poultry, wild game and aged cheeses.
Sells for £9.99 elsewhere - Binendwines' price, just £7.25 for this multi award-winning wine.
