With origins in France, this variety as grown in Chile offers unique flavours due to the vines being Phylloxera free and ungrafted. This wine is from the Casillero del Diablo Reserva range and is one of the best Sauvignons made by a Chilean volume wine producer. Produced from selected grapes grown in Concha Y Toro's vineyards from the very best areas in Chile for Sauvignon - Casablanca, Limara and Rapel. Grapes were separately vinified in Concha Y Toro's modern winery. Stainless steel was used throughout to retain all the varietal freshness, with all the cuvées brought together for the final blend.

The colour is pale yellow with green hues, and the wine very bright and clean. The nose is fresh, with lemony citrus notes and soft floral hints together with green fruit - pears and green apples. This is a very elegant wine due to the intensity and balanced acidity. The citric characteristics from the coastal areas of the Central Valley stand out. There are mineral notes together with hints of tropical fruit, and the wine is fresh from beginning to end, where the balance of fruit and acidity refresh the palate. The finish is very long with tropical fruits balancing the lemon. This is a round, full wine, with perfect balance and finesse for matching with seafood or just enjoy on its own.
