Single Estate Wine
Left Field is part of the Te Awa Collection, created by the experienced winemaking team of Richard Painter and Ant Mackenzie in the prestigious Hawke’s Bay. Here, the winemakers literally went to the left side of the vineyard in their search for inspiration, crafting approachable, consumer-oriented, premium regional vineyards. Sophisticated wines, without being stand-offish.
A blend of 91% Sauvignon Blanc from Nelson and 9% from Waipara on the South Island. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a little residual sugar was retained to add a touch of richness. Strongly aromatic with a crisp vibrancy to the finish; it shows aromas of passion fruit, nectarine and lemongrass alongside other green herbs. Perfect with zingy flavoured shellfish and Thai food generally.
This 2018 vintage sits in the top 4% of the worlds wine according to Vivino.com
Very scarce vintage which did sell for around £13 and the newer vintages still do.
A bargain at Binendwines, just £9.90 (just 7 bottles left in stock)
