Dutch settlers in South Africa brought the building style of the iconic architectural feature - the Dutch Gable. The Style evolved to suit the Western Cape region where it became known as Cape Dutch Architecture. This fresh Sauvignon Blanc has tropical and stone fruits on the nose with a clean citrus finish on the palate.
This wine was made especially for the respected and renowned importer, Bibendum, primarliy for the restaurant trade.
We liked this wine, a touch commercial in style but soft and easy to drink. Obviously chill first and it also helped drinking this in the Spring sunshine! Like the Cabernet Sauvignon from Gable View, this will be perfect for those garden gatherings over the Spring/Summer months.
Ideal on its own or great with shellfish, goats cheese or poultry.
Restaurant price circa £15, found online for £7.49 - Binendwines' price just £5.50 a bottle!
