Origin: South Eastern Australia
Taste guide: Dry, peach and melon fruit flavours, lemony citrus notes, unoaked
75cl - 13.5% - screwcap
A sprightly fresh and fruity Chardonnay produced from grapes grown in vineyards the Riverina area in south-east Australia. The fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness and cool fermented in an ultra-modern winery.
Bright lemon yellow in colour the nose is deliciously enticing with scents of juicy peaches, green melons, lemon zest and creamy toasted almonds. Vibrantly aromatic, the palate offers a slurp of juicy, ripe peaches and mouth-watering nectarines, followed by subtle hints of lemon zest. As this subsides, a rich creamy toasted almond note joins in to provide a long and rounded finish.
This is a rich and well-balanced wine, generous and soft on the palate and very easy drinking.
We have now sold out of "The Paddock" label but are substituting with the "Long Acre" label which is exactly the same wine and the same vintage but labelled as such for a different sector.
