Origin: Barramundi Wines, South Eastern Australia
Taste guide: Dry, peach and melon fruit flavours, lemony citrus notes, lightly oaked
75cl - 13.5% - screwcap
A sprightly fresh and fruity Chardonnay produced from grapes grown across vineyards in the Murray/Darling basin. The fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness and cool fermented in an ultra-modern winery. A portion of the wine was oak aged and then back blended to produce the final wine.
Bright lemon yellow in colour the nose is deliciously enticing with scents of juicy peaches, green melons, lemon zest and creamy toasted almonds. Vibrantly aromatic, the palate offers a slurp of juicy, ripe peaches and mouth-watering nectarines, followed by subtle hints of lemon zest. As this subsides, a rich creamy toasted almond note joins in to provide a long and rounded finish.
This is a rich and well-balanced wine, generous and soft on the palate and very easy drinking.
