Origin: Murray-Darling region - Australia
Taste guide: Medium bodied, black and red berry fruit flavours, pepper and spice notes, savoury backbone, unaoked
75cl - 14% - screwcap
Produced specifically for the distinguished importer Bibendum and sold primarily to the restaurant trade, this is a mature, medium bodied and fullish Shiraz - it is 14% after all - complex yet still easy drinking.
Vinified by a major winemaker using grapes harvested from top vineyards across the Murray/Darling sub-region.
The colour is bright garnet red and the nose full of berry and cherry fruit with hints of perfumed spice. The carries through to the palate with blackberry and raspberry fruit flavours, spice and pepper notes and savoury notes on the long and satisfying finish.
This wine is instantly alluring, full of texture, balanced and smooth. It is drinking amazingly well and has really benefited from bottle ageing.
Seen on restaurant menus at over £14 indicating a retail of around £7 - Binendwines' price is now just £4.25 to clear the last few cases.
