Origin: Bodega Luigi Bosca, Mendoza, Argentina
Taste guide: Full bodied, red berry fruit flavours, spice and smoky notes, oaked
75cl - 13% - screwcap
Established in 1901, Bodega Luigi Bosca is now managed by the third and fourth generations of the Arizu family and is one of the few winemaking firms in Argentina that is still owned by its founders. Its reputation, gained over the years, has made it the paradigm of Argentine wine.
Made with Tempranillo grapes grown on 20 year-old vines in estate owned vineyards, located in Maipú, Mendoza - 780 metres above sea level. The grapes were handpicked with a selection of clusters, before a final selection and then de-stemming. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C with selected yeasts. After the fermentation was complete the wine was transferred to oak casks for three months ageing. The wine was then lightly filtered and bottled.
La Linda Tempranillo has a red purple colour. The nose has expressive aromas of red fruit, spice and slightly smoked ripe tomato aromas. It is elegant on the palate, with notes of blackberry and strawberry tea and dried fruits. Altogether this is a juicy, fresh red wine, with sweet tannins and a good mouth feel. Soft toasted notes give complexity in the finish. This is a very elegant wine, velvety smooth and full of finesse.
A perfect match for all red meats, especially lamb, and complements all pasta dishes.
The winery gives an ageing potential of 8 years which gives an idea of its quality.
