Syrah (Shiraz)

Syrah (Shiraz)

Syrah (Shiraz)
Syrah's home is the Rhône Valley but has spread to all New World wine countries, where it has taken on the name Shiraz. It is a prolific vine, really excelling in hot climates, and produces wonderful, flavoursome wines. The flavours tend to be blackberry, with rich spicy notes, and a delightful pepperiness. Can achieve great concentration when mature showing complex dark stone fruit flavours, with hints of chocolate.
