Yet another Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc produced for one specific customer and given a "made-up" brand name. This is not unusual as every single Supermarket chain offers their own wines labelled like this.

However, this wine was produced for the renowned and very select wine importer Bibendum, for sales into up-market restaurants and bars, so is just as good as, and dare we say even better than, many of the established brands. 

Vinified totally in stainless steel to retain all the inherent freshness, this wine was produced using a selection of grapes from areas across Marlborough. The colour is pale straw and the nose is light and floral, with passion fruit and melon notes. On the palate there is a slight initial sweetness which then develops, showing lemony citrus notes marrying with tropical fruit flavours. There is vibrant acidity, good minerality and a long, satisfying finish.

We have stocked this label before and it has always been enthusiastically received and with limited stocks has sold out quickly.

New Zealand Sauvignon is probably our favourite white wine and we can genuinely say that this ranks among the best of the reasonably priced ones we have ever tried - it is absolutely gorgeous.

Primarily produced for the pub/restaurant trade so rarely seen on the High Street, but one internet wine merchant is selling it for £9.75 - at Binendwines it is just £6.95.
