Rosemount Estate was founded over 40 years ago and from the outset the goal was to produce good value, top quality wines.
This Rosemount Founder's Selection Shiraz sources fruit from premium Australian vineyards across south east Australia and vinified in their ultra modern winery.
The wine is deep red in colour, aromas of super-ripe red berry and plum fruit flavours. The palate is rich and powerful and continues these elements and also exhibits the typical spice and pepper tones of Shiraz. The inherent tannins give strength and structure, and the finish is long and satisfying. A complex wine of supreme quality.
Unoaked this is inexpensive Australian Shiraz at its very best – superbly balanced, rich and powerful yet offering very easing drinking.
Sells for up to £8.49 elsewhere. Was £6.95 now even better value to clear the last few bottles - £5.95.
