Viña Maipo wines have been traditioanally crafted in the heart of the Maipo Valley since 1948 and this superb Chardonnay continues this tradition.
Produced from select grpaes from some of the best vineyards in the Central Valley, and fermented in Viña Maipo's winery under the auspices of renowned head winemaker Max Weinlaub. Following cool fermentation the wine was rested for two months in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
The colour is pale yellow and the nose exhibits fruit and herbaceous notes with hints of peach. The plate is refreshing, balanced and semi-dry with hints of papaya and pineapple and a gorgeous length. There are rich and buttery notes on the long and classy finish. Overall this is a very elegant and fruity wine.
Note that this wine is from the "Classic Series" and therefore of far better quality than the standard Viña Maipo Chardonnay which is found in many supermarkets.
Enjoy as an aperitif, with chicken and other white meats or cheese.
Sells in Ocado and other outlets for £9.99 - Binendwines' price is just £5.95.
