Made solely from grapes grown in the Tupungato area in the larger Mendoza region, where the climate is dry and continental with great sun exposure allowing perfect ripening.
Following harvest the grapes were destemmed and crushed with 100% cold skin contact before fermentation. 30% of the must was fermented in French oak barrels, with 70% in stainless steel, before back blending and the final cuvée then being married for a further 3 months in French oak.
The colour is golden yellow with olive tinges. Aromas of ripe fruit dominate, especially red apple and white peach, with subtle notes of asparagus. These flavours continue on the palate which shows good minerality with adequate acidity. The wine finishes on delicate vanilla tones from the oaking.
