Its flavours range from light, green fruit, steely flavours in cooler climate areas such as Chablis, to fuller citrus, and tropical fruit flavours, with that typical butteriness in hotter areas, Chardonnay is particularly suited to oak ageing, especially in Burgundy and the New World.
